Soviet UFO Secrets. The Summer 1994 issue of Flying Saucer Review contains an article entitled "Soviet UFO Secrets", by Bryan Gresh. The article also appeared in the MUFON UFO Journal for October 1993. Brian Gresh is stated as being the Senior Vice-President of Altamira Communications Group and an associate of George Knapp, described as a renowned UFO researcher. "We had 40 cases where our pilots encountered UFOs," said Sokolov. "They received an order to prepare the launch of the ICBMs," said Sokolov. As the now-60-something Burdakov relates, Joseph Stalin invited Korolyov to a meeting in 1948.

Some of the accounts include drawings of flying saucers, descriptions of aliens wearing "pharaoh masks" and alleged examples of extraterrestrial writing.

Before their release, Air Force squadron leader Kavae Tamariki said the Defence Force did not have the resources to investigate UFO sightings and would not be commenting on the files' contents. "We've just been a collection point for the information.
