UFO incident, also known as the Washington flap or the Washington National Airport Sightings, was a series of unidentified flying object reports from July 12 to July 29, 1952, over Washington, D.C. The most publicized sightings took place on consecutive weekends, July 19–20 and July 26–27. Events of July 19–20[edit] At 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 1952, Edward Nugent, an air traffic controller at Washington National Airport (today Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport), spotted seven objects on his radar. The objects were located 15 miles (24 km) south-southwest of the city; no known aircraft were in the area and the objects were not following any established flight paths.

An ocean exploration team led by Swedish researcher Peter Lindberg has found what some are suggesting is a crashed flying saucer. Lindberg's team, which has had success in the past recovering sunken ships and cargo, was using sonar to look for the century-old wreck of a ship that went down carrying several cases of a super-rare champagne.
Instead, the team discovered what it claims is a mysterious round object that might (or might not) be extraterrestrial. Lindberg explained to local media that his crew discovered, on the 300-foot-deep ocean floor between Finland and Sweden, "a large circle, about 60 feet in diameter. You see a lot of weird stuff in this job, but during my 18 years as a professional I have never seen anything like this. The shape is completely round. " It's not clear what to make of this report, or the video of the sonar scan that shows the object, but Swedish tabloids and Internet UFO buffs have had a field day.

This incident includes some information issues, where certain facts -- simple things, like the actual date and time of the sighting -- appear questionable. A cigar-shaped unidentified object was seen hovering, rotating and changing colors above Denton, Manchester, in the U.K., reports the International Business Times. Let's go to the videotape... "[The] object was just visible to the naked eye [and] was in the sky for around 40 minutes before raising so high that it could not be seen at all," wrote the eyewitness, identified only as omex2005, who indicated the video was uploaded on July 9, 2011.

I am definitely enjoying this book read, as the author is going into details in step-by-step fashion on ways to capture UFOs on video in flight. The author notes at the front of the book that this book was written for people who wish to directly observe UFOs, rather than get third hand accounts by other authors, where witnesses are interviewed.
