The parallel session held in Poznan, Poland at the Future Internet Conference on October 24th 2011, was dedicated to User Driven Innovation and was organized by the European Network of Living Labs, a global network of almost 300 Living Lab members. The aim of the day was to discuss how the Living Labs can shape the Future Internet for smart ICT applications development for building a better society. The recent initiatives launched by the community of Living Labs in Europe and globally and further the Smart Cities as the arena to bring together the Future Internet community (more recently the Future Internet Public Private Partnership) and the Living Labs community and present some of the EU-funded projects that already are using Living Labs as a tool for Innovation in the context of Smart Cities, namely the portfolio of 15 Smart City-pilots funded by the European Commission.
