I like how they focused on the words and not the special effects. (But seriously does anyone use gold text on black background for coding? ) I'm a huge fan of Person of Interest because it combines man's impulse to create and protect plus the desire to kill and destroy. The father of the machine has impulses to protect and that is at the heart of the machine's "logic". If machine intelligence happens will it come out of a drone killing program or out of a problem solving program? Inverted colors (light on black) in lower contrast is good if you have sensitive eyes and are working for very long periods of time. Personally, my set up is a light grey background with color coded text. Thanks. Also I found that I crane my neck too much, does that happen to you when coding or do you have some ergo tricks to keep it from happening.

The orange-text against a black background reminds me of the monitors in Valve's computer game, Portal. Person of Interest?? Offense taken! Me too. Robot Bartender Struggles With Asimov's Laws In This Amazing Short Film

The actual video was a bit less interesting, but still decent and pretty well-made. My original impression got me thinking about other things, though. Could a three-laws abiding robot work at a fast-food restaurant, serving greasy foods that clog up arteries? If they made robots that followed those laws, they'd have to be clear what constitutes "harm" or "injury" and that could be pretty tricky. I wonder if there would be global or national standards, or if every company would do things a bit differently. I could see it being something where the serving bots reject customer orders after using science to determine the blood sugar/cholesterol/body fat % of the patron.
