STANLEY GREENE. Ancien membre du groupe révolutionnaire afro-américain The Black Panthers, Stanley Greene est né à New York en 1949.
Il se lance dans la photographie après sa rencontre avec W. Eugène Smith, l’un des pionniers du photojournalisme –il remportera d’ailleurs le prestigieux prix qui porte son nom en 2004 pour son reportage sur la guerre en Tchétchénie. En 1989, il immortalise la chute du mur de Berlin avec sa célèbre photographie Kisses to All, Berlin Wall.
