La 23ème Semaine d’Information sur la Santé Mentale a eu lieu du 12 au 18 mars 2012. Cette manifestation annuelle vise à faire évoluer la représentation des maladies psychiques auprès du grand public. Rappelons que près de 3% de la population française souffre de troubles psychiatriques ayant un retentissement majeur sur leur vie affective, sociale et professionnelle.

S'il y a un concept que les gestionnaires et les économistes connaissent bien c'est la loi de Pareto. Cette loi suggère que 80% de vos revenus viendront de 20% de vos activités. Il en est de même en philanthropie où 20 % de vos donateurs vont générer 80% de vos revenus. Il est souvent tentant de tout faire pour convertir tous ses donateurs afin qu'ils donnent au maximum de leur capacité.

Presidential primary season has put the practical effects of the 2010 Supreme Court decision in Citizens United vs. the FEC on painful display. By removing contribution limits, the decision has opened the floodgates to unprecedented cash flow for elections. It has also given birth to new organizational forms, as PACS morphed into SuperPACS, a new entrant into the already crowded campaign finance landscape of 501 c 4s, PACS, 527s, campaign offices and party coffers. According to data from the Center for Responsive Politics , the early March numbers show a 234% increase in spending so far in the 2012 election compared to the same point in the 2008 cycle. Most surprisingly, it has positioned nonprofit organizations, specifically 501 (c) 4 and (c) 6 social welfare organizations, at the center of the money flow between donors and the offices their candidates seek.

They are more likely to be able to appeal in different ways to different demographics,” he points out. So is there a moral to the 2011 story that will give the smaller organizations that make up the vast majority of the nonprofit marketplace a path to great fundraising success in the new year? “One of the things I’m really focusing on is how we can build strong organizations,” Ottenhoff says. ”They need to be able to adapt to changing winds and changing fortunes and changing conditions in the broader economy.” How can organizations already under economic strain be so adaptable and flexible with limited bandwidth?

I know that for many, if not most, organisations email marketing is not nearly as easy as the uninitiated might think it should be.
