A Trail Runner's Blog: Trail Running Mecca at the Ultra Tour de Mont Blanc

Drench your self in words unspoken Life your life with arms wide open - Natasha Bedingfield, Unwritten Natasha’s timely lyrics lifted me into Chamonix, France, last Wednesday to take part in the 10th Annual Ultra Tour de Mont Blanc (UTMB), a race that is likely the closest thing ultrarunners have to their own Olympics. Rain and snow had settled into the Chamonix valley by the time I arrived (without baggage, thank you United) so I wasn’t able to see much of the course prior to the race. I caught up with Bryon Powell and some runners at an iRunFar mixer, and Meghan Hicks mentioned that just three days ago it had actually been too hot to go on long runs (and she had the tan to prove it!).

I swung by a Salomon event and was stunned at the number of people asking for autographs from their top runners. There was good reason to be nervous, the course not withstanding. Could I have finished the full 168k? Lookout Mobile Security. Fitbit. Fitbit. Double Robotics - Wheels for your iPad. Partners - DJ Patil. About Dr.

Who Cares Wins: Why good business is better business. One Young World. One Young World is a not-for-profit organization which provides opportunities for young adults to join in a global network of socially committed individuals with leadership potential.

One Young World

Its primary activity is an annual One Young World Summit. The One Young World Summit brings together the young generation’s brightest and best to ensure that their concerns, opinions and solutions are heard. From there, they take action, driving positive change in their communities, companies and countries.[1] More countries are represented at the annual One Young World Summit than any other global youth event other than the Olympics.[2] Since One Young World’s birth in 2010, there have been four Summits. The inaugural Summit took place in London, UK on February 8–10, 2010. Subsequent Summits were held in Zürich, Pittsburgh and Johannesburg. Young leaders interested in attending a One Young World Summit must submit an application. Once attending the Summit, delegates graduate to ambassadors. Wikipedia.
