Ria of Bladehold In recent months, the Manka Run had become known as the most dangerous circuit of all the routes through the razorfields. It followed a road along the edge of the Liet Field, passing through several outlying settlements before looping back toward Bladehold. After a while I think we all end up having a huge collection of Photoshop brushes, I am no exception.... but I spent the other day to clean it up a bit. My set consists of some I've created.. and downloaded.. mostly of M@'s, Jaime Jones' and Whit's. It's funny with brushes.. I think we tend to stick to few that we use all the time. Anyways..

Here are some more loading screens from Just Cause 2 that was released Spring 2010 for PS3, XBOX 360 and PC. I worked on it for about a year (I think), mostly fixing / polishing existing 3D assets, but also got to do these screens as well as images of all the weapon and vehicle upgrades. 2 million console units sold, not bad..

The art, Demonic Tutor, works for Magic The Gathering illustration. I saw my art is shown on the website of the Wizards of the Coast. I'm so happy, so I make this art as the wallpaper with 1280*800 pixel. The art on website is larger than this one, but you can find out this is a whole painting which can be downloaded by yourself. This is my first art with my signature "Scott Chou".The last of the 3 images was done in oils, it was the first commercial art I'd done traditionally in quite a few years. I did a digital rough for it as usual and once that was approved I printed it out and divided the drawing into a simple 4 part grid to help with general placement as I started drawing it out on the board. I almost f'd the thing up when I came to seal the drawing with clear gesso. As I applied the gesso the drawing was almost washed away. I could basically see enough of it though to continue on. Out of interest, here's an in progress shot:

Hey everybody! Wanted to do a really quick update! I saw a tutorial online - here - to make stereoscopic images, basically 3d images that involve crossing your eyes until the two images meet in the center then focusing. The effect is really awesome, but I guess a lot of people have a hard time doing it. Anyways, I used that tutorial to make my own!I have permission to post progress pics of this cover piece. Right now its mostly graphite and some light acrylic on arches hot press watercolor paper 300lb. As it progresses I'll seal the paper and eventually continue to work the values in oil.
