Ideally, as a parent or teacher, you can do your personal studies from any of the Torah Club volumes, and then use what you learned to teach the children. Your children will be proud to learn Torah along with their parents. The Children’s Torah Club can also be used by Congregations or Home-schooling groups. The Children’s Torah Club (CTC) is presented as a weekly activity in the form of 8-page booklets.

Each booklet is based on the contents of the weekly Torah portion, and teaches Torah principles from a messianic perspective, through questions and fun filled activities, puzzles and games. The program also contains a Hebrew lesson for every letter in the aleph-bet, all related to the specific Torah portion. Download one sample 8-page booklet. A Journey of Discovery. Teaching Children Philosophy

Every day the boy would come to the tree to eat her apples, swing from her branches, or slide down her trunk . . . and the tree was happy. But as the boy grew older he began to want more from the tree, and the tree gave and gave. Guidelines for Philosophical Discussion by Thomas Wartenberg, edited by Jayme Johnson The question of the appropriate relationship that human beings should have with nature is raised by the story of a young boy and a tree in Shel Silverstein’s The Giving Tree. For a long time, following the lead of the Bible, philosophers believed that humans had dominion over the natural world. Questions about the appropriate way for humans to treat natural objects are cogently presented by The Giving Tree. Questions for Philosophical Discussion Topic: Giving and Altruism The tree keeps on giving to the boy until it has nothing left to give.
