Pretzel and M&M Chocolate Cheesecake

I am obsessed with adding salt to my desserts, in case you didn't already know. Salted butter seems to take a regular buttercream to another level. A dash of salt in some chocolate chip cookies makes them dangerously addictive. And even though I had inital reservations of the trend, a bit of bacon can work in the right situation. Twix Cake. My days are getting busier and busier, so I am easily drawn to the simpler, quicker desserts that I can pull together at the last minute. 'Fried Chicken' Cookie Pop Cake. Homemade Pasta with Alfredo Sauce Recipe

Alfredo sauce is a wonderfully unhealthy treat, thick and creamy. This version is significantly healthier thanks to replacing much of the evil fatty dairy with tangy buttermilk. Butter and buttermilk play very well together here, despite not actually being separated at birth like the originals were; butter adds richness, depth, and fat as a foil to the buttermilk’s tartness.

Easter Chocolate Rum Balls Recipe

I don’t know who came up with this recipe first but my mom definitely perfected it and passed it down to us. We would especially ask her to make these chocolate rum balls for us on our birthdays, so we could take them to school and share with our classmates and be the coolest kids (or so we claimed, because they contained rum - rum extract to be precise - but who could tell the difference back then anyway, haha). Anyway, they are really addictive and delicious, and you’ll surely love them!

Chocolate Cupcakes with Chambord Chocolate Ganache Recipe. Over a double boiler (or a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water) melt the chocolate chips, heavy cream and corn starch together. Once mixture is smooth, take it off the heat and stir in the liqueur until combined. Set aside and allow to cool so that it can thicken up. Note: I added 50 mL of the Chambord but felt that there wasn't enough of that raspberry flavor I was looking for, so I would suggest adding more a little at a time until you have the desired taste.

Or maybe even adding a raspberry flavored filling would help. I plan on making a filling the next time I make these and if it works out, I will update this post with the filling's recipe. Once your cupcakes are cool, frost them with a pastry bag, plastic baggie, dip the cupcakes, or do what I did and just spread the frosting on with a spoon (if you spoon and spread them, you'll probably only need a half of the ganache recipe).
