(click images for detail) Artist Sagaki Keita was born in 1984 and lives and works in Tokyo.

His densely composited pen and ink illustrations contain thousands of whimsical characters that are drawn almost completely improvised. I am dumbstruck looking at these and love the wacky juxtaposition of fine art and notebook doodles. See more of his work here, and be sure to click the images above for more detail. Screaming from the top of my Lungs! Artist Rik Reimert has been a reader and active member of our Google+ community, and that has given me a chance to view his drawings over time. Speaking with Reimert, he explains that he starts sketching with pencil and then uses Rotring Rapidographs to fill in each portrait. “Every line is definitive and can’t be erased.

That makes it really exciting! ,” he states. Artwork © Rik Reimert. Fluorescent Animals by Louise McNaught. Fluorescent Animals by Louise McNaught. Artist Bio Born in 1986 in Swindon, England. Became a fanatic of art at the age of eight in which I was introduced to art through watching a lot of cartoon shows and comic books. First ever comic I looked at was the Batman series.

Since then I’ve been obsessed with drawing odd fantasy drawings and anime characters. When I got older I diverted from anime drawings to realistic figures and faces, always striving to make them more detailed and photorealistic. I’ve looked at a lot of artists and illustrators throughout the years, all with different styles and different medias. In 2008, I graduated from Swindon college in HND illustration and hopefully will progress in studying in BA illustration somtime in the future. My work is described as surreal and unique in its own way. Iain Macarthur’s Blog Iain Macarthur on Behance Iain Macarthur on Carbonmade.
