Domino’s Reveals Its ‘Ultimate Pizza Delivery Vehicle’ Open-source car design community Local Motors has announced the winner of the first phase of the Ultimate Delivery Vehicle Challenge, which is sponsored by Domino’s Pizza.
The 6-week design competition aimed to revolutionize pizza delivery. The winning concept design is the Domino’s Pack by Anej Kostrevic from Slovenia. Gizmag reports that this small and agile vehicle looks similar to a smart car and features sliding side doors, an integrated rearview camera, and an auxiliary light in the right side mirror so the delivery person can find their way with the pizza at night. Inside the vehicle there are sliding shelves for carrying lots of pizzas, a refrigerated drawer that can hold up to nine two-liter soda bottles, and other storage solutions. Next to the driver, a large touchscreen display mounted on an articulated arm provides location and navigation info. The Domino’s Pack concept will now be crowd-sourced to bring the concept closer to production standard. Domino’s Pack.
