Banana Brownies with Chocolate Avocado Ganache | b a k e a h o l i c. My dad had a sweet tooth – I’m proud to say that I’m certain that’s where I inherited mine from. Father’s day is tough each year, even though it’s been 9 years this upcoming Wednesday since he passed away. It never gets easier – how can it? Instead of celebrating with him, I thought I’d make him something in honour of him, and his sweet tooth. I can remember every night after dinner my dad would want something for dessert, usually we would have ice cream, maybe a fruit salad. I thought I would make one of his favourite desserts to celebrate father’s day this year. These are a much healthier version than the Safeway brownies, but I think my dad would have approved of them for his sweet tooth craving. If you’re lucky enough to celebrate father’s day with your dad this year, be sure to share it with him – and maybe a slice of brownie or two. happy father’s day dad, miss you like crazy Fudgey Banana Brownies Ingredients: 6 tbs.

Directions: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Chocolate Avocado Ganache. Peanut Butter Fudge Pretzel Brownies. Dear Monday. Why must you ruin lives? You do things like fling entire pots of coffee on the floor while leaving ugly droplets on that pretty white dress and don’t even apologize. Then you take a certain someone’s keys and lock them inside while that person is outside… and the oven is on with a big fat chicken roasting in pan way too small.

Not cool. I also hear that you silence alarm clocks and blow out flat irons and hide the toothpaste. And this morning you made my bed feel eight million times warmer and more comfortable than it already is and you made me hit snooze and you made me eat that piece of coffee cake while standing over the sink in my workout clothes. Then you made me lay on the couch with a second piece of coffee cake while I searched for Nick and Vanessa’s Dream Wedding and you even threw that cashmere blanket from Restoration Hardware on top of me and made me take a nap… even with my shoes still on. And really… was it you that made Ari Gold run to Dana Gordon?? Or not. Blog cuisine - Brownies for Dolce & Gabbana : Cafe Fernando – Food Blog - brownie - dolce & gabbana - swide - Brownies.

October 30th, 2010 | Category: Brownies, Chocolate I have to admit, I was a bit lost when Dolce & Gabbana requested me to create a recipe for their digital magazine, Swide. As soon as I read that email, I wished I were Pierre Hermé. He’d know exactly what to do. Who am I to create anything for D&G? Right after I picked my self-confidence up off the floor, I visited their website for inspiration and came across the Fall/Winter 2011 runway show. Now, I do not know much about fashion. Because if it is good enough for Nick, it is good enough for everyone. What I saw on the runway was quite seductive, but so wisely (and tastefully, of course) camouflaged with transparent fabric. I thought, wouldn’t a chocolate lace decoration be perfect?

Me? The first one turned out horrible. There’s no possible way to keep the chocolate in the piping bag fluid for longer than 10 minutes. Visit Swide for the complete set of photos and a short interview with me. BROWNIES with HAZELNUT BUTTER and CHOCOLATE LACE. Slutty Brownies. Now I don’t want to over sell this, so I’m going to be conservative and simply say, that these are… The Best Brownies In The WORLD.

I know, big statement. They’re called Slutty Brownies because they’re oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy. They’re best served warm from the oven, with good quality vanilla ice cream (devastatingly I didn’t have any in the freezer this time, so I guess I’ll just have to make them again).
