Uranus and Pluto reside at the centers of their respective sidereal signs. The Uranus-Pluto "geocentric square" begins in June 2012 and continues through March 2015, consisting of seven triggers (the exact squares occurring due to the planetary retrogrades).

During this time, on November 23-24, 2013, the "synodic square" occurs. The extreme cultural and societal events of the mid-1960s were a product of the Uranus-Pluto conjunction and the start of this 138-year Uranus-Pluto synodic cycle. Although the few years ahead may stimulate intense revolutionary action and reaction, they also provide opportunity for wide sweeping solution that propels us into a new time/paradigm on Earth. The Construction of Earth's Precessional Cross The ecliptic plane, also referred to as the "Ecliptic of the Sun," is created by Earth's annual orbit around the Sun.

Experientially verified by sky watchers throughout the ages, the ecliptic plane or "Solar Ring of Power" is the most significant plane in the heavens. It is used to map the relationship of astronomical events and their effects on Earth. This plane is a primary energy field for Earth, where occurs equinoxes, solstices, solar and lunar eclipses, and all other planetary and stellar alignments that we demonstrably experience in everyday life. Earth's north and south poles, projected into the heavens, or celestial sphere, are called the north celestial pole (NCP) and the south celestial pole (SCP).

Earth's pole is tilted by 23.5° with respect to its orbit around the Sun. Just as Earth nests within our solar system, so too does our solar system nest within the care of our galaxy. Synodic Astrology: Synodic Cycles & Planetary Retrogrades. ©2003-2016 Nick Anthony Fiorenza, All Rights Reserved Introduction to Synodic Cycles & Synodic Astrology Planetary Synodic Cycles are cycles that occur between one planet and another. There are many cycles occurring at the same time, all interweaving and nesting in one another. Synodic Astrology explores these planetary cycles, the themes of the cycles, and where we are in the progression of the cycles. A natal astrology chart (or any astrological chart) is a picture of one moment frozen in time.

Looking at the aspects of the chart in the context of the cycles in which they exist is like looking at the movie from which that picture was taken. Planetary Synodic Cycles start when two planets align in their orbits, looking from the Sun (although we can look at cycles relative to other planets as well, and even relative to a location on Earth). See the Venus web page for more about Earth-Venus synods and their precessional pentagonal pattern. Note to astrologers: The Venus Retrograde Earth-Venus.
