Canadian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) firms are invited to register now for a three-day Forum being held between May 22-24 in Ottawa to provide input and feedback on a proposed governance and business model, the planned development of the architecture of the nation-wide public safety mobile broadband network, and basic charter of incorporation for a not-for-profit organization to manage the 700 MHz spectrum dedicated to Canada’s public safety communities use.
Organized in collaboration with Public Safety Canada, Defence Research and Development Canada/Centre for Security Science, the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance and the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association, the Forum will allow participants an opportunity to share in group and private discussions with the drafters of the Charter for the newly proposed national entity to own the spectrum and set standards for the creation of an interoperable, national public safety broadband network.
