No Time To Meditate? Learn How To Effectively Meditate In Just One Moment. The world may not be fully embracing the whole “conscious/spiritual movement” quite yet, but if there are two things which the majority seem to be accepting with open arms, it’s yoga and meditation.

As a big fan of meditation myself, and having experienced the impact it has on mental clarity and well-being, I’m excited to share with you a meditation that can solve your time dilemma.
New Study: Meditation Alters Genes Rapidly, Triggers Molecular Changes. Elizabeth Renter | NaturalSociety | Jan 31st 2014 If you are a practitioner of meditation, the results of a new study published in Psychoneuroendocrinology will likely come as no surprise.

The researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Institute of Biomedical Research in Barcelona, Spain found subjects who partook of 8-hour intensive mindfulness meditation showed significant molecular changes. A group of experienced meditation practitioners spent an 8-hour day in mindfulness while a control group spent the day in quiet but non-meditative activities. The meditation group experienced genetic changes including reduced levels of inflammatory genes like RIPK2 and COX2, indicating faster recovery from stressful situations.

Mindfulness-based stress reduction, originally designed for patients with chronic pain, consists of continuously focusing attention on the breath, bodily sensations and mental content while seated, walking or practicing yoga. Rosenkranz While interest in meditation as a means of reducing stress has grown over the years, there has been little evidence to support benefits specific to mindfulness meditation practice.
