Block Stitch Afghan : the way I do it !!!!

Some of you asked me how the "dots" ( I call them "rice grains"!!!) Can pop out in this way, so I thought it will be nice if I show you how this happens!!!! Happy about that??? Yes, I imagine so! Collect just few things : + hook + yarn in different colours + scissors + tapestry needle This is the chart (american crochet terminology), drawn by myself (!!!!!!) Your foundation chain will have these characteristics : chain 4, add as many as you like groups of "chain 3". Choose the colour you would love to start with and make a slip knot. Chain 20 stitches Chain 2 more (total : 22 stitches) and make a single crochet (or SC) in the 7th stitch from the hook (that is the previous stitch 16 on the foundation chain!)

Now, chain 2 ... ... skip 2 stitches of the foundation chain and work 1 SC in the 3rd stitch (that is the previous 13 stitch of your foundation chain!) Again : chain 2, skip 2, SC in third stitch (previous #10!) Cut the yarn. Buscando Comienzos. Pasada 1. If you decide to knit one, I hope here: I recommend that you use a wool that is woven with a hook No. 4 or even No. 5 and a number not less than 5 different colors of wool. Blanket MIX is a combination of points and colors. Manta de cercles , tutorial. After telling you about my new blanket last week, I received a few questions about how to make the large circles and squares.

Manta de cercles , tutorial

So here is a tutorial about them and about how to make them into a blanket. You start the same way as for a small circle and crochet 3 rounds as described here. Round 4: ch 3, dc into joining stitch, dc into next 2 st, *2dc in next st, dc into next 2 st* , repeat until end, join with a sl st into 3rd of initial 3ch. Manta bebe. Spots Make 3 spots each (Rnds 1-5) in the following color combinations: CC1: Turquoise; CC2: Aqua CC1:Aqua; CC2: Turquoise CC1: Red; CC2: Orangeade CC1: Orangeade; CC2: Red CC1: Gold; CC2: Banana CC1: Banana; CC2: Gold CC1: Sage; CC2: Pistache CC1: Pistache; CC2: Sage CC1: Purple; CC2: Amethyst CC1: Amethyst; CC2: Purple Rnd 1 (RS): In CC1, using a double ring start, ch 4, [dc into double ring, ch 1] 11 times; join with slip st in 3rd ch of beginning ch-4.

Break yarn. This will make a wagon wheel shape with 12 "spokes" made from the 11 dc and ch-3 with a ch-1 sp between each st. Rnd 2: With RS facing, join CC2 in any ch-1 sp; ch 3 (counts as dc now and throughout), dc in same sp, ch 1, [2 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] 11 times; join with slip st to first dc. Break yarn. A Tutorial of Sorts....Hexagon Blanket Border. I've had a few people, well actually more than a few ask me about the border on my hexie blanket....most of you that hang around here will know I don't like blankets with wavy edges....I like to make them straight....and I know I'm not alone, so I made this up as I went along using the theory of different crochet stitches have different lengths so you can always fill most gaps.

A Tutorial of Sorts....Hexagon Blanket Border

I attempted to do a tutorial on how I did this border, but time has got away so I'll do my best to explain to you in a basic form. Those of you that crochet will probably understand, for those of you that don't, I apologise and when I have more time, I'll attempt to do it a bit better. You Tube is great for assisting you with the stitches I talk about so you may just find it falls into place. The first thing that I do is always change my hook down half a size from what I made the blanket with. Now the next row crocheted in turquoise blue is the difficult one but after this it's a breeze. Done!! Thanks. Framed Garden 9. Instagram Framed Garden Blanket – Made as a gift for a baby shower in Arkansas!

36×36″ Pattern Information Granny Square: Attic24 “Summer Garden Granny Square“ Joining Method: An SC version of the Continuous Join-As-You-Go as taught by Crochet Cabana in her YouTube Tutorial Border: Meringue edging Progress shot below shows the join. I had to modify this blanket a bit to account for the bulkier size due to doubling the yarn. Modifications I removed all of the chain spaces from the pattern. I converted the DC join to a (shorter) SC join to leave more space for the wide border.

I kept the granny style border by working 3DC groups into every third stitch across the final SC round of the nine granny square center. The double thickness made this blanket fluffy and cozy.
