For inspiration, students can look to this year’s book selected for Read for Australia, Herman and Rosie by Gus Gordon. This year the website features resources and templates for writing poetry to help you provide your students with ideas, tips and support to take part in this activity. Depending on the age of your students, poems can be written independently, in small groups or in pairs.
