Thursday, March 22, 2012 I can’t believe Spring is here so quickly. Cool evenings and warm afternoons, my assistant Maggie says it’s her favorite time of the year because she can wear everything in her wardrobe all at once. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 Transitional dressing….Summer shoes and Winter coat.
Ms Susie Lau , after the Louis Vuitton fashion train had pulled into the station, Paris, March 2012. Rather oddly, after I decided to post these photos, I picked up the March copy of Nylon magazine (love Nylon!) and on page 138 there is a Factory Girl article by Dani Stahl about ( insert excellent drum roll here ) white anoraks! Dani travels to the Bebe studio in Century City and gets her very own white anorak made up by the production team. She says (page 138) " It's an excellent item, versatile, easy to pack - everyone should have an anorak. I like them so much I even love saying the word: "Anorak!"
Arlene leaves for France tomorrow, so I thought it would be appropriate to give you another girl crush of mine, Grace Potter, being a badass in the video for Paris . Bon Voyage, Arlene. Have the very best time! Xoxo. These were the first to be packed...Eileen Shields flats.
The Internet is a dark place. With social networking, Likes, retweets, pins, and buddies, it's resoundingly easy to see just how un-social networking can really be in a space so vast. The web has repurposed a lot of our weightier words, like "empty" (as in inbox) or "friend" (as in Facebook), leaving in its wake some sort of obvious but still troubling existential quandary — your lack of notifications translates into a lack of human connection. Womp womp. A new Tumblr demonstrates how sad it can be when the net quantifies your life and reports dismal results, accumulating what the blog calls " Screenshots Of Despair ." Despair, apparently, comes in shapes of lonely Seamless orders, empty Gmail chat boxes, and Facebook's habit of asking you to Like the unlikeable.
Videography: Ashley Batz I'm so excited it's spring! However, I could use a little color after being stuck inside so much this winter. Luckily, there are amazing bronzers out there that can help me look sun-kissed and fresh--like Revlon® Bronzer! I love the subtle warmth it gives my cheeks without looking overdone.
ph: Vogue Netherlands Lots of sporty goodness going on here! My favorite bits are the Alexander Wang golf bag (find here ), the shorts + of course the Isabel Marant sneakers- I have these in black, but now I wish I had the tan/off white ones instead!

This week's discoveries and links, starting with: 01 Mary Jo Matsumoto : With impeccably selected fabrics combined with smart designs, Mary Jo has created an incredibly beautiful Spring and Summer collection of handbags to want. I spent most of Fashion Week working, but I was honored to attend a debut presentation by my friends from Eleven Objects - complete with live models, their signature collars dripping with jewels, texture and embellishments and, for the very first time, apparel! The designers pulled together a lush and dare I call it rococo collection? I loved that the designers chose to have a string quartet at their first presentation. The whole event, set in a cool West Chelsea gallery, felt very intimate and special.
