Last month Winslow and I co-led a Venice Within The Frame photographic adventure during Carnival, and it was, well, nearly perfect. The weather turned out to be far nicer than it should have been for February in Venice. There were far fewer people than anticipated for Carnival; so there were never really any crazy crowds. On the last night we even got the high water (acqua alta) that we wanted (and for which we were prepared).
There really is something great (albeit surreal) about Piazza San Marco being under 4-6 inches of water. I learned a few things during that adventure, which was the fifth Within The Frame in Venice. We got to see some other “workshops” while we were there for Carnival, and, well, I’m not impressed. Anyhow, we had a great adventure in Venice, and the feedback has been absolutely brilliant. Here is just some of that feedback… The trip with Jeffrey and Winslow was fantastic. You’re really good in critiquing and have an easily understandable way of explaining things.
