Dubstep ( / ˈ d ʌ b s t ɛ p / ) is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London , England . It emerged in the late 1990s as a development within a lineage of related styles such as 2-step garage , broken beat , drum and bass ( jungle ), and dub reggae . [ 1 ] In the UK the origins of the genre can be traced back to the growth of the Jamaican sound system party scene in the early 1980s. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The music generally features syncopated drum and percussion patterns with bass lines that contain prominent sub bass frequencies. The earliest dubstep releases date back to 1998, and were usually featured as B-sides of 2-step garage single releases. These tracks were darker, more experimental remixes with less emphasis on vocals , and attempted to incorporate elements of breakbeat and drum and bass into 2-step.
I am a New England Patriots fan. There, I said it. Yes, I grew up in Colorado and yes, we live in Denver now. However, I truly became a football fan when I met Rob and that was in Boston... and the Patriots won three Super Bowl Championships while I lived in Boston!

It’s that time of year when everyone makes new years resolutions, and eating healthy tends to be at the top of the list for most.
Well, it’s that time of year again. The time when we reflect on the past year and our accomplishments… or lack there of. It’s also the time of year when we get to start with a clean slate. Break out those resolutions and give it a better shot this year. I am no different than most. My resolutions include the standard: eat better, exercise more, try to be a nicer person… But I have a few that relate to this blog specifically that I want to share because I feel if I talk about them I am more likely to keep them.
On the off chance that your holiday breakfast plan is not yet inscribed in stone; in case you aren’t already bound and determined to have a strata , or frittata , or sticky buns , or perhaps puffy pancakes or spoon bread ; or maybe you’d like to just add some icing to your giant, decadent, multi-course holiday brunch cake; well then dear friends, may I venture a suggestion. I actually feel a bit ashamed that I’ve been holding this recipe from you for so long. It’s a recipe that may, in fact, deserve a little shouting from the rooftops.
If you can pronounce correctly every word in this poem, you will be speaking English better than 90% of the native English speakers in the world. After trying the verses, a Frenchman said he’d prefer six months of hard labour to reading six lines aloud. Dearest creature in creation, Study English pronunciation. I will teach you in my verse Sounds like corpse, corps, horse, and worse. I will keep you, Suzy, busy, Make your head with heat grow dizzy.
post written by: Marc Email Remember today, for it is the beginning. Today marks the start of a brave new future. Our previous article, 30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself , was well received by most of our readers, but several of you suggested that we follow it up with a list of things to start doing. In one reader’s words, “I would love to see you revisit each of these 30 principles, but instead of presenting us with a ‘to-don’t’ list, present us with a ‘to-do’ list that we all can start working on today, together.”
