Rare Extraterrestrial Crystal As Old As Our Solar System Discovered In Remote Region Of The World

To find a rare, extraterrestrial crystal dating back to the birth of our solar system, 4.5 billion years ago, is therefore an extraordinary and a unique experience! This amazing discovery of a very rare crystal from outer space was made in the Koryak Mountains, in Far-Eastern Siberia, Russia, a very remote corner of the world. Scientists believe that the mineral could be even older than the Earth itself! According to an international team of researchers led by Princeton University scientists, a rare and exotic mineral, so unusual that it was thought impossible to exist, came to Earth on a meteorite. The discovery provides evidence for the extraterrestrial origins of the world's only known sample of a naturally occurring quasicrystal. News Republic. Il y a 4,5 milliards d'année, à sa formation, la Terre n'avait rien d'une planète bleue, mais arborait plutôt les teintes rougeâtres des roches en fusion qui la composaient du noyau jusqu'à sa surface. Incredible Discovery - Earth's History Has A Hidden Unrecognized Chapter

Our planet had plenty of oxygen about 600 million years earlier than it was believed, according to a new research. The new evidence is raising new questions about the evolution of early life. Researchers from the University of Copenhagen and University of British Columbia examined the chemical composition of three-billion-year-old soils from South Africa - the oldest soils on Earth - and found evidence for low concentrations of atmospheric oxygen. Three billion years ago there was already lots of oxygen in the atmosphere Previous research indicated that oxygen began accumulating in the atmosphere only about 2.3 billion years ago during a dynamic period in Earth's history referred to as the Great Oxygenation Event (the biologically induced appearance of free oxygen (O2) in Earth's atmosphere). Paper. MessageToEagle.com. The Wonderstone spheres. One of the Wonderstone (Ottosdal or Klerksdorp) spheres In the Wonderstone Mines at Ottosdal (West Transvaal, South Africa), hundreds of metallic spheres have been found over several decades in pyrophillite (or wonderstone) deposits of Precambrian date, some 2.8 billion years old.

The Wonderstone spheres

Pyrophillite is a metamorphosed sedimentary mineral mined for use in masonry buildings, as an absorbent, as a filler, as an ingredient in industrial compounds and for a variety of other uses. Two types of sphere are alleged to have been found in the pyrophillite; one is a bluish metal with white inclusions, while the other has a metallic coating around a spongy material. Only examples of the second type seem to have been examined by geologists, who have found that they consist of pyrites and goethite. At least one of these spheres has three parallel fine grooves running around its centre. The first report citing these spheres has been traced to The Weekly World News , 27 July 1982.
