"Living on the south coast of the UK, I am primarily a seascape photographer, and a big fan of long exposure work. I am not a ‘purist’, and whilst a captured image with perfect light can look great straight from the camera it is seldom that conditions are such that they convey the mood I seek. Rather than a ‘record’ of a moment in time, I wish to offer a creative interpretation of the scene. This certainly requires the use of editing software like Photoshop to enhance levels of tone and contrast that the camera simply cannot record in a single image. To produce an image that is unique and arresting is my aim, and for that, a great location, light, luck and digital processing skills are required in equal measure." ~ Trevor Cotton For more long exposure photography by Trevor Cotton, you can visit his website here or his flickr photostream here . http://www.thedphoto.com/inspiration-fix/long-exposure-photography-by-trevor-cotton/

http://digital-photography-school.com/dont-give-up-in-the-middle-of-the-day-tips-for-shooting-in-mid-day-sun So many ‘rules’ you will hear about photography are better described as ‘guidelines’. And like any line, it’s okay if you stray off it if it suits your purpose. I openly admit I profess to many students to try to avoid mid-day sun if they can. Most photographers agree on this point. But I also make a point to tell them, and you here on the web, that it is by no means a rule that needs to be followed hard and fast.

Reflections from Stained Glass in Doges Palace Venice, Italy The advent of digital photography changed the art world so fast it began to diminish traditional photography education. The results of so many picking up digital cameras and assuming that it would do all the work began to take its toll on the profession. For a short time, forgotten was the tried and true formula of posing plus lighting and composition and exposure equal a beautiful photograph. Now that it has been around long enough there is a realization that the need for professional training is once more a necessity for success in photography whether it be for personal or professional reasons. http://www.pixiq.com/article/top-ten-photography-schools

Makers of Easy Release, Professional Model and Property Release App for iPhone, iPad and Android :

http://www.applicationgap.com/apps/easyrelease/#.UVVs-9F-P0M Works Great - ★★★★★ by JohnRRRRRRTT - Version 1.8.110117 - 17 July 2011 This APP is superior to a paper release in many ways. It is neater, it sends a release to both you and the model, and it includes a photo of the model on the release. Although you can sign with your finger, I prefer to use an iPhone stylus.
