Utah: Cadastral Survey. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is working with the Public Land Survey System Foundation (PLSSF) to prepare copies of the 2009 edition of the Manual of Surveying Instructions (Manual) for distribution beyond the Federal Government. For further information and availability, monitor the BLM Survey Manual website , at: Thank you for your interest in the Public Land Survey System. Cadastral SurveyThe Bureau of Land Management’s Cadastral Survey Program, is one of the oldest and most fundamental functions of the United States Government. Cadastral Surveys are the foundation of our national land tenure system; creating, reestablishing, marking, and defining land boundaries.

In the beginning of our country’s existence it was a must to have a survey done in order to own land. These legal principles apply to subsequent deeds of transfer related to the official plat. Salicornia. Salicornia is a genus of succulent, halophyte (salt tolerant) plants that grow in salt marshes, on beaches, and among mangroves. Salicornia species are native to North America, Europe, South Africa, and South Asia. Common names for the genus include glasswort, pickleweed, and marsh samphire; these common names are also used for some species not in Salicornia.[1] The main European species is often eaten, called marsh samphire in Britain, and the main North American species is occasionally sold in grocery stores or appears on restaurant menus, usually as 'sea beans'.

Botanical[edit] The Salicornia species are small, usually less than 30 cm tall, succulent herbs with a jointed horizontal main stem and erect lateral branches. Salicornia species can generally tolerate immersion in salt water. Species[edit] salicornia Salicornia virginica Nearly 60 species have been proposed for Salicornia.[3] Some common species are: Culinary[edit] Umari keerai is cooked and eaten or pickled. Notes[edit] Manual of Surveying Instructions. Desert Land Entries. DOI: BLM: WH&B Geocommunicator Map Instructions. This section of Statistics and Maps is an experimental section. Below are the instructions for using Geocommunicator to generate your own maps of Herd Areas and Herd Management Areas. You have a choice of either downloading the written instructions or watching a video.

Both have low-resolution and high-resolution versions. The high resolution version is, of course, more visually detailed, but you will need a higher speed Internet connection to download/watch due to the significant increase in file size. Here are links to the printed instructions: Low-Resolution -- How to Use Geocommunicator (1.7 MB PDF) High-Resolution -- How to Use Geocommunicator (12.6 MB PDF) And if you want to download the video files: Low-Resolution -- How to Use Geocommunicator (12.7 MB WMV, played below) High-Resolution -- How to Use Geocommunicator (45.6 MB SWF, download only) Special Section 508 Compliance Notice: The contents of Geocommunicator are not Section 508 compliant. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Geographic Coordinate Data Base (GCDB) is a collection of geographic information representing the United States Public Land Survey System (PLSS) and other official surveys. The GCDB data is computed from BLM’s official survey records including Cadastral survey plats and field notes supplemented with local survey records and geodetic control information. Who uses GCDB data? Since the 1990’s the GCDB flat files have been used by Federal agencies for making maps using computer-aided drafting applications.

Tell me more. To find out more about GCDB file formats and data elements check out the GCDB User’s Manual and the GCDB Standards web page. Which GCDB format is best? Where can I get the data? The legacy (before CADNSDI) GCDB data complies with the previous FGDC guidelines for geospatial data. Many of the BLM state offices have posted their GCDB flat files on their state office websites.
