Occupy DC protestors throw 78 year old woman down the stairs. "Death to capitalism! " "Death to the police! " "Death to 78 year old innocent women! " Ooops - how did that get in there? Powerline: We posted video last night in which degenerates from Occupy D.C. stormed the Washington Convention Center where Americans For Prosperity was holding a dinner. This is critcal.

The press also uses phrases like "mostly peaceful" to describe the violence at Occupy sites around the country - specifically the Oakland riot - which actually started during the "peaceful" march to the port in late afternoon. But this is going to change as the Occupy protests become more violent and the real leaders of this movement are exposed - radical anarchists, leftists, communists, and their fellow travelers. » #OccupyMcDonalds: Protester Turns Violent When Denied Free Food - Big Government.

Jeff Jacoby: Occupiers, Tea Partiers, and the Tenth Commandment. Some individuals have strained to compare the Occupy Wall Street protests to the Tea Party movement. "They're not that different," President Obama told ABC's Jake Tapper. "Both on the left and the right, I think people feel separated from their government. " The Daily Show's host Jon Stewart argued: "Here's a group of Americans, disenchanted, railing against big government bailouts….

These protesters, how are they not like the Tea Party? " But the contrast between the Occupiers and the Tea Partiers could hardly be greater. Tea Party rallies haven't turned public squares into squalid slums or incited protesters to curse the police. What the Occupy movement descended to in less than two months -- the hundreds of arrests, the vandalism, the anti-Semitic rants, the all-night drumming, the public urination -- is like nothing the American public saw in more than two years of Tea Party activism. That isn't a fluke. Such class hostility pervades the Occupy movement. Occupy Oakland Turns to Chaos Overnight. (The Blaze/AP) — A day of demonstrations in Oakland that began as a significant step toward expanding the political and economic influence of the Occupy Wall Street movement, ended with police in riot gear arresting dozens of protesters who had marched through downtown to break into a vacant building, shattering windows, spraying graffiti and setting fires along the way.

“We go from having a peaceful movement to now just chaos,” said protester Monique Agnew, 40. Port officials said they were forced to cease maritime operations, citing concerns for workers’ safety. Oakland Liberation Front Leaflet: ‘How Dare You Even Ask for Non-Violence’ A pamphlet from a group calling itself the “Oakland Liberation Front” has surfaced that mocks any pacifists in the Occupy Oakland movement and calls for violence to achieve the “complete annihilation of capitalism.”

Given the past 24 hours in Oakland, which has seen destructive, violent riots and general chaos at the hands of the Occupiers, the underlying sentiments of the frightening flyer below seem completely in line with the goals of Occupy Oakland. [Editor's note: disturbing language included in the pamphlet] The pamphlet makes a series of statements about non-violent resistance, then lists a number of accusations about pacifists in the movement, including: “You are the subject that divides under the guise of unity and the people,” and “you are their unpaid soldiers.” The pamphlet goes on to claim that peace signs and non-violence are “the exact forms of mediation the state requires to neutralize people’s individual assertion of their own desires [and] goals.” (H/T: FreeRepublic) » As Oakland’s Leaders Offer Excuses for ‘Peaceful’ Activists, #OccupyOakland Burns Barricades - Big Government. » Unhappy Campers at #OccupyWallStreet: ‘I’m Leaving Today, Because This Is No Longer Safe’ - Big Government.

Communist Professor Alex Callinicos Talks Violence With Occupy Protests. Alex Callinicos On Sunday, Occupy Wall Street protesters gave a warm welcome to Alex Callinicos, a professor of European Studies at King’s College in London.

Callinicos, a self-proclaimed Marxist, was apparently proud to share his message and his beliefs with his Occupy audience. The professor has a deep history in touting communism. He wrote a book called “The Anti-Capitalist Manifesto” and he is the editor of “International Socialism.” “I am a Marxist,” he declared boldly. His answer was less than comforting. Asked if the upcoming revolution can be non-violent, he parroted the party line of the demonstrators, who call themselves the 99 percent of Americans lined up against the “1 percent’’ with power and money. He said violence could be avoided only if the “1 percent accept the decisions of the 99 percent,’’ which he predicted would never happen. So if this account is accurate, Callinicos certainly doesn’t seem to be advocating for peace and non-violence at all costs. (H/T: HotAir.com) Occupy Denver tension escalates dramatically.

DENVER (AP) - The simmering tension near the Colorado Capitol escalated dramatically Saturday with more than a dozen arrests, reports of skirmishes between police and protesters and authorities firing rounds of pellets filled with pepper spray at supporters of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Officers in riot gear moved into a park late in the day where protesters were attempting to establish an encampment, hauling off demonstrators just hours after a standoff at the Capitol steps degenerated into a fight that ended in a cloud of Mace and pepper spray. Denver police spokesman Matt Murray said 15 people were arrested in the evening confrontation, where authorities were moving to prevent protesters from setting up tents in the park, which are illegal. Officals say the demonstrators had been warned several times that the tents would not be allowed and those who attempted to stop police from dismantling the camp gear were arrested.
