George Soros's Socialized Merry-Go-Round of a Solution to the Euro Crisis. Banks need capital, but indebted governments can't afford to bail them out again right now (not that bailing out the banks causes any unintended consequences or anything; it certainly doesn't incentivize risky behavior). It's too bad we can't close our eyes, click our heels together, and go back to the old days of drinking the sweet nectar of a fiat-financed bubble. The governments can however, provide a guarantee that is credible because they have the power to tax. It will take a new legally-binding agreement for the eurozone to mobilize that power, and that will take time to negotiate and ratify.

In the meantime, they can call upon the European Central Bank, which is already fully guaranteed by the member states on a pro-rata basis. To be clear, I am not talking about a change to the Lisbon Treaty but a new agreement. In exchange for a guarantee, the major banks would have to agree to abide by the instructions of the ECB. A New World Architecture by George Soros. Exit from comment view mode. Click to hide this space NEW YORK – Twenty years after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of communism, the world is facing another stark choice between two fundamentally different forms of organization: international capitalism and state capitalism. The former, represented by the United States, has broken down, and the latter, represented by China, is on the rise.

Following the path of least resistance will lead to the gradual disintegration of the international financial system. While international cooperation on regulatory reform is difficult to achieve on a piecemeal basis, it may be attainable in a grand bargain that rearranges the entire financial order. In addition, a new Bretton Woods would have to reform the currency system. The US ought not to shy away from wider use of IMF Special Drawing Rights. One great advantage of SDRs is that they permit the international creation of money, which is particularly useful at times like the present. George Soros Bretton Woods II Conf: Changing Finance World-Wide – New World Order: God’s Gonna Cut You Down Video.

I heard this song for the first time last night as I listened to my first ever BlogTalkRadio. I was tuned in to GulagBound’s Monday night show (look to the right sidebar, halfway down or so – you can listen to an archive of the show). God’s Gonna Cut You Down was played during a break. The song is fitting, because this is a report about evil-doers. Bloggers, we need your help to ring the bell, sound the alarm…get this story of George Soros and his April 8th Bretton Woods II Conference out to readers. I’m betting Congress knows nothing about it. While we can do little, we must be aware. George Soros Dan Gainor was a guest in the first hour. The original Bretton Woods Conference was held for 22 days in July 1944. The original was organized by the U.N.’s Monetary and Financial Conference.

The original established the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Dan Gainor: Of the 79 speakers scheduled for the program, two-thirds have direct ties to George Soros. Joseph E. Unreported Soros Event Aims to Remake Entire Global Economy | Villagers with Torches. Looming Soros Conference Will Focus on Rearranging Global ‘Financial Order’ | The Blaze. On April 8, dozens of “academic, business and government policy thought leaders” are scheduled to gather for a forum reminiscent of the 1944 Bretton Woods gathering that helped launch the World Bank and International Monetary Fund following World War II. The George Soros-founded Institute for New Economic Thinking will hold its annual conference April 8-11, 2011 at the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, N.H.

According to the group’s website, the event will bring together economic figures such as Soros, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker to discuss a new, globalized vision of economics in the post-war world. “This conference reflects INET’s dedication to inspiring and provoking new economic thinking,” the website says. “Crisis and trauma offer us a rare opportunity to work together to create real lasting change. This is one of those times,” INET says. The organization’s social media advertises a very progressive view of economics: Klein: Soros fingerprints on Morocco riots. Philanthropist also tied to revolts against other U.S. allies across Mideast, North Africa.

Quoting “several Democratic sources,” the Huffington Post reports that billionaire George Soros may be encouraging his fellow progressives to funnel their money away from President Barack Obama — that is, unless Obama can deliver for their cause. During a small, “private” meeting of the Democracy Alliance Tuesday afternoon, Soros reportedly told the well-funded, progressive-minded crowd that the Obama administration might not be their best investment: According to multiple sources with knowledge of his remarks, Soros told those in attendance that he is “used to fighting losing battles but doesn’t like to lose without fighting.”

“We have just lost this election, we need to draw a line,” he said, according to several Democratic sources. “And if this president can’t do what we need, it is time to start looking somewhere else.” According to HuffPo, Soros’ political director later did not dispute the comments, but insisted that Soros remains a staunch supporter of Barack Obama. “Mr. OPEN SOCIETY: Soros Explains The Anti-Capitalist, Pro-Marxist Tactics He Uses to Fundamentally Transform Countries | The Blaze. The Colorado Model. Denver Last January, a "confidential" memo from a Democratic political consultant outlined an ambitious scheme for spending $11.7 million in Colorado this year to crush Republicans. The money would come from rich liberal donors in the state and would be spent primarily on defeating Senate candidate Bob Schaffer ($5.1 million) and Representative Marilyn Musgrave ($2.6 million), who are loathed by liberals for sponsoring a proposed constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.

The overarching aim: Lock in Democratic control of Colorado for years to come. Leaked memos have a way of revealing who's on top and who's not in politics and which party has energy and momentum. The Democratic surge in Colorado reflects the national trend, but it involves a great deal more. While the Colorado Model isn't a secret, it hasn't drawn much national attention either. Colorado is where this model is being tested and refined. It probably is. The firefighter lost, but other Democratic challengers won.

American Thinker: Soros's Next Target: Your State. George Soros -- hedge fund billionaire, major funder of so-called 527 groups, early supporter of Barack Obama, and sugar daddy of the Democratic Party -- is one of America's most powerful political players. He had a bad November 2 when Republicans took control of the House. But he is not down for the count. He has already begun focusing on states as his next political playground -- where he wants to be the biggest bully on the block.

George Soros has seen his game plan work quite well for years in Washington. He has created a phalanx of powerful think-tanks (The Center for American Progress -- Obama's Idea Factory, being just the best-known, but there are many more), he has politicians in his ample pockets, and the Democratic Party is beholden to him and his empire of activist groups -- including MoveOn.Org. He may have gone as far as he can in the short term in Washington; he admitted as much recently when he said he could not stop a Republican avalanche.

We already have clues. American Thinker Blog: Soros and me. Last week I was able to watch the first of Glenn Beck's expose on George Soros. I found it to be not only necessary but accurate and well done. I have watched Mr. Soros's activities for many years as I have come across the wreckage he has created in the international financial markets and observed his egomaniacal attempts to aggrandize himself. Many readers of the American Thinker and other sites are aware from my writings that I am a survivor of World War II and an orphaned displaced person brought to the United States. I have viewed George Soros with much disdain as it is incomprehensible to me how anyone who experienced or saw first-hand the death and destruction wrought by a megalomaniac could become one.

The early years of Mr. Soros in Budapest aiding the Nazis in their persecution of the Jews, whether as a willing or unwilling accomplice, cannot help but form his character. J.R. American Thinker: Soros, Beck, and the Holocaust. It will come as no surprise that Glenn Beck's broadcast biography of George Soros last week has triggered a vast brawl concerning his interpretation and treatment of the topic. The uproar revolves around Beck's portrayal of Soros' role in the Holocaust. Beck repeats the widely known story concerning Soros' involvement in handing deportation orders to Jewish families on behalf of the Nazis. He emphasizes that Soros was only fourteen at the time and does not condemn the activity, asserting that the matter remains "between Soros and God.

" I happen to have researched the episode in depth for my upcoming book, Death by Liberalism, and I can state here that Beck's narrative is completely accurate. His treatment of it is commendable, in particular his statement that no one has a right to judge the efforts of Jews to survive in Nazi-occupied Europe. All the same, the segment has triggered a firestorm among the usual suspects, who appear to view Soros as sharing in Obama's divine status.
