The new “app Pins” feature allows users of the popular bookmarking social network to find and install apps directly from the Pinterest app for iOS. Using the new feature is very simple. When you come across an app Pin, tap “Install” to download the app right to your iPhone or iPad without leaving Pinterest. To help you get started, Apple has created their own Pinterest App Store profile.
From here, you’ll find a collection of the latest app Pins. You can also save your favorite apps right from the App Store itself. According to Evan Sharp, a founder of Pinterest, speaking to The New York Times: We can be a really powerful service for app discovery, which is a problem that still really hasn’t been solved.
