At the moment I’m making things that have a bit of purpose or a place, or I’m making things with someone in mind. I thought - I wouldn’t mind doing a large tag, something that I may be able to use as an embellishment on a layout or something in the future and it evolved from there.
I adore this photo of Cadence my granddaughter, she does and says the cutest of things, one word at the moment is 'shh’ when she see’s someone or one of the animals asleep and the aim of were that finger lands is a bit off and it ends up irght up her nose. I have always liked the idea of assembling memories in a lovely and creative way, but have not gotten around to scrap booking. So I came up with an idea to commemorate my daughter's birth and baby years in a way that suits me best. I never actually made a "baby book" for either daughters and honestly can't believe that I still have not gotten around to it. This assemblage of scrap boxes incorporates memorabilia from a couple of years and includes all sorts of keep-sakes and tokens of personal significance that I've collected for my daughter. Using boxes allows me to display some items that would otherwise not work as well in a book format: map and coin from Costa Rica (ahem....the Country where she was "made"), identification anklet from the hospital, baby spoon, photos, magnetic letters that represent names and dates, and a few other special symbols.

How to Make a Custom Shadowbox also known as How to make your own Advent Calendar Shadowbox additionally known as How to make Your Own Custom Printer's Tray Yes, that's right. A {super easy} Baby Shadow Box. One of the hot trends right now are shadow boxes.
Especially ones that can be configured in any pattern that you like. This one uses a shoebox lid and our Matchbox Template which comes in 2 different sizes so it makes it super easy to configure! Let’s get started! For my shadow box I used the following supplies: First, print our your favorite patterned papers. Assembles the boxes so the printable paper side is on the inside and the template marks are on the outside. Once you have all the boxes you need assembled, you can then start to arrange them in whatever pattern you like into the shoebox lid. There will be gaps in between the boxes.
