Electronic Campus - Attend College. More and more high school students are getting a "head start" on their college coursework by enrolling in advanced placement courses. Many of these courses are now available online through e-learning, expanding both the number of courses and providers and making access more convenient for busy high school students. For more information on advanced placement, courses and tools and tips, follow the links below. Why take Advanced Placement Courses? Taking AP course allows you to skip taking them in college if you get an acceptable grade on the AP Exam. What subjects are AP courses available in? AP courses are available in foreign languages, English, history, science, mathematics, music, and art. Can I take AP courses online? Yes, in some states you can. Can I take an AP exam without taking an AP course? Yes, although you are encouraged to take the appropriate AP course unless you have taken advanced high school courses or have completed advanced, in-depth study in the subject area.

AP Exam Review. College Application Week. The goal of North Carolina College Application Week is to provide every graduating high school senior the opportunity to apply to college online through CFNC.org. Special focus is placed on students who would be the first in their families to attend college and students who may have not otherwise seriously considered attending college. During this statewide college access event, all 110 North Carolina colleges and universities accept the College Board fee waiver in lieu of an application fee, for students who qualify.

Typically students who receive the SAT or ACT fee waiver, also qualify for the College Board fee waiver. See your high school counselor for more information about the College Board fee waiver. Additionally, many of North Carolina’s colleges and universities go above and beyond and outright waive their application fee for all North Carolina graduating seniors that week.
