http://www.instructables.com/id/Solar-Altoids-iPhone-iPod-Charger/ I love my iPhone 4 to death. I really do. Even if it sucks juice faster than a 1st grader at snack time and I often find myself on low power with a long train ride ahead of me.

Thing in a Jar

The coolest thing about the Thing is that everyone responds to seeing it by asking questions. Where did I find it? Is it an internal organ? Is it some sort of fetus? http://www.traipse.com/thing_in_a_jar/
During hard times sooner or later everyone runs out of soap. All soap consists of the above three ingredients in one form or another, and that includes bath soap, dish soap, laundry soap, and hair shampoo. Soap is not difficult to make and it does not require any special equipment. And soap can be made from things that exist in large quantities in nature, and which are typically discarded as being of little value (rainwater, campfire ashes, and animal fat). Therefore, a person who knows how to make good soap could provide his or her family with a small but steady income during hard times by making and selling soap. Soap requires no financial investment in raw materials, and therefore it does not require the advance purchase and storage of inventory before the hard times occur.

Home-Dzine - What can you do with an old pallet?

http://www.home-dzine.co.za/green/green-pallet-ideas.htm So many things! If you ever come across the opportunity to pick up a few pallets take a look at some of the ideas I have come across for recycling old pallets into furniture and other practical and decorative pieces. ABOVE and BELOW: Who would have thought that a humble pallet could be transformed into so many practical pieces. Make a coffee table, make a dining room table, even make a sectional sofa or daybed with a wood pallet.
