C’est un des trucs que j’adore rapporter, d’expo-vente, de rendez-vous… Surtout quand le design ou la photo est super sympa. J’en avais d’ailleurs fait pour mon blog, chez Moo, les MiniCards. Elles sont adorables. Tote bag et cuir. Depuis quelques mois (p’t'être même années tiens…) je porte un tote bag (vous savez ces sacs en toile rectangulaire pour trimballer tout un tas de trucs) régulièrement à la place d’un sac à main.
Mon dos de vieille mémé de bientôt 30 ans est en effet plutôt fragile et souffre pas mal du poids des sacs à main en cuir, déjà lourds même quand ils sont vides, que je porte habituellement. Du coup, le tote bag est devenu mon ami, notamment parce qu’il est super léger et donc même si je le charge un peu, ça tire bien moins qu’un grand sac en cuir. Bref, tout ça pour dire que je les collectionne donc, notamment fourni en nombre par mon employeur. Défi'13 - Piü tote bag. Depuis quelques temps déjà, je jetais des coups d'œil aux fameux Tote Bag ( ou sac fourre-tout, sac en toile, etc..).
Très pratiques, à la fois spacieux et léger, solides et tendances... Le sac idéal ! Alors c'est tout naturellement que j'en ai cousu un... à l'effigie de ma "mascotte" : la grue en origami ! J'ai choisi une toile de coton basique, pour insister sur ce côté passe-partout, et avec des restes de tissu bleu profond, une grue est née de ma machine à coudre. Cette idée m’est venue quand j’ai commencé à travailler avec Adeline sur le livre des Kokeshi. Je suis vraiment restée en admiration devant ces petites poupées de bois, sculptées et peintes à la main. Quel travail ! Et surtout quelle élégance… Cela m’a donné envie de travailler le bois, j’ai commencé à parcourir les fournisseurs de bois ( j’ai d’ailleurs trouvé mes petits pots pour peindre !)

I've seen those towel bibs before where they slide over the baby's head but the towels I always find are small and wouldn't be enough fabric for that style.
After finding these adorable ones on my last thrifting trip for only .65 cents each I was determined to make something work. This small bias trimmed bib is perfect for using up old hand or kitchen towels that are too small for other projects.
