Mainly because i wanted to change the title and only recently found out about the new thread button xD. Ive been lurking for about 4 months in here now and i have discovered alot of inspiring artists and seen different styles of using zbrush. Which motivated me and has become a daily fix. [Friend wanted a sculpt challenge involving chickens. Friday night well spent] [New head studies this weekend, top one was abou 2 hours and second was around 45 mins, going to polish up the second study tomorrow]I've also been doing a female study.

Hi there. some of my colleagues and me got an entry in the current polycount escape challenge see all the details in the thread. here is a collage of the scene we want to make [update] screenz of the textures i will use for the environments [update] some realtime material tests in our engine i tried to sculpt the bulges of the rock in mudbox and overlay the rest with a diffuse extracted normal. came out waaaaaay to hard though..but i did it in a rush. it needs more love, then it will turn out ok here is the offset map of the ground. it works best, when it is very blurry [update 21.3.13] i finally set up the engine scene with the landscape, new materials and started a weather also i tried a first brush. the ground materials all have a full parallax shader and the rocks are blended box mapped [update] [upd] from paul. he's working on the m16 but first things first. here you see the current outcome in two perspectives. here are all brandnew barks and the floaters.

If you guys remember what happened to that company and its projects, most notably Time Splitters 4 and the next gen Star Wars: Battlefront it was a sad tale of a company disappearing in its prime (IMO). Oishiiniku got a lot of attention for his amazing and creative Timesplitters 4 concepts when the company went defunct, which helped get the word out about his skills. Fast forward a few years later and Nick has been busy creating a little world of his own under the theme of 'Race For The Globe.' Concept artists typically create their own stories and themes to visually explore on their free time as a way to keep them well rounded, and give them contrast from what they typically do at work.

I had a deadline, and I needed to get reacquainted with modelling and texturing again, as I have put all my energy into leveling up my lighting skills. The scene was built over three weeks, with the majority of the modelling being made during the first weekend. Below are a series of pictures I grabbed during development. Some were to show peers and gather feedback, others were simply for myself to show I made progress. I’ve made small comments below the pictures on ideas and reasoning behind my decision but as time has passed and as it was a hectic period I doubt I will remember it all. First thing I did was to throw together some base geometry and textures and just tried out the shapes. Next I brought the assets into UDK. I continued making textures and meshes. DISCLOSURE: Some of the techniques I show in this tutorial (especially the sculpting section) are probably not optimum for general real-time game development due to the time constraints.
