How to make a mini Strapless Lace Dress. Easy Hooded Fleece Cape for Children or Adults. Take the remainder of your fabric and decide which way you want your cape to flow. Most fleece is about 44 inches wide off the bolt, which is sufficiently wide enough for most adults. If you want a larger cape or more flow, use the yardage as your width instead of the 44 inches (for instance, if you purchased 2 yards of fabric and cut 15 inches off the end for the hood, your cape will be 57 inches wide).
Fold the fabric in half widthwise, right sides out, and lay flat. Decide how long you want your cape to be, measure that height on the fabric and cut in a straight line across to trim of the excess fabric (I used a rectangle approximately 25 by 18 inches for the baby cape). Trim the bottom and front edges of the fabric so that the bottom front corner of the cape is rounded. Teeny Tiny Fold-Up Shopping Tote.
Like most refashionistas out there, we try to do our part to recycle, eliminate waste, and reduce consumption. But sometimes, despite our best intentions, we don't remember to bring our reusable totebag to the grocery store. We solved this problem by creating a very memorable reusable tote bag, made from a recycled tank top! As an added bonus, it folds up super small to fit right in your purse so you will always have it with you. Extra credit for the environment! This project works best with those 90's rayon tank tops you can easily find at a thrift shop (and maybe even in the back of your closet... shhh, we won't tell!).
In addition to a refashionable tank, you'll need 5-6 inches of snap tape or ribbon... "Beating" LED Heart T-Shirt. Upcycle a Men's Shirt into a Retro Summer Blouse. How to make a Layered Tulle Dress. I found a big skirt at a vintage shop that was made of a beautiful fabric, so I bought it with the intention of making a 1940’s style inspired dress. This is the process of the reconstruction. Step 1: Making the Pattern For the bodice, I drafted my own pattern roughly based on a couple of different patterns, adding my own alterations through trial and error. I arrived at my own design after several sample pieces.
Step 2: Cutting the Skirt For the construction phase, I started by cutting off the waistband of the original skirt. Step 3: Making the Bodice I used some black linen from my mom’s stash of fabric for the rest of the bodice since there was not enough of the original skirt fabric to completely create the bodice. Step 4: Adding the Lining I created a lining from the same pattern and stitched the bodice to the lining, then added sleeves before attaching the skirt. Step 5: Gathering the Skirt I gathered the original, shortened skirt in preparation. Step 6: Attaching Skirt to Bodice. Bacon Egg Scarf/Hoodie. Keep warm with your favorite food items! Lithium Rain Radiant Beacon of Righteousness (Blinking I-hoodie) The only thing you can't buy from the shiney new Apple Store is an I-hoodie, an Instructablized version of the hoodie with light up logos of the instructables hand and the Apple Macintosh* logo. This is the Instruct-intosh version hoodie, well, it can be any garment or accessory like a light up Instructables Hand-bag (maybe next time). I do not have conductive thread nor electroluminescent panels so this is a ghetto version of making light up stuff to bedazzle your clothing. This was going to be the I-Pear logo from ICarly TV show but that looked like it was from Disney so I picked the lesser of two evils. By the way, remember me? Well, Intructables member Adrian monk grew up to be Lithium Rain.

This T-shirt transformation project is my favorite of the accessories in my first book. They're super easy to stitch up in an afternoon, and even easier to embellish with iron-on glitter sheets--which seriously increase the superhero factor. These arm warmers are especially good for: 1) Completing late night deadlines (reports, papers, presentations, tax filing, etc.). 2) Healing goose-bumped flesh in the over-air-conditioned spaces of warm-weather climates. 3) Protecting long-armed folks from that pesky draft caused by the gap between the glove and sleeve in cold weather climates. 4) Shielding the knuckles of bicyclists from biting winds when they ride really fast. 5) Executing superhero power stances.

This instructable comes to you from the creative mind of the newly Mrs. Awajiman, who wanted to add a whimsical, personal touch to my groom's outfit on our wedding day. Backstory Our wedding was held at San Francisco Airport Aviation Museum, an unexpectedly stunning and somewhat offbeat venue in the heart of the SFO international departures terminal.
Since it is a functioning museum and library, there were strict restrictions on floral vendors and the type of flower arrangements that could be brought in, which led us to ultimately decide for a flowerless wedding. Mrs. Awajiman made around 300 - 400 stems of felted ball 'flowers' to be used for centerpieces and decorations. She even commissioned a custom felt flower bouquet from Princess Lasertron who incorporated a few of our felted balls into the arrangement.
