На это уйдет совсем немного времени, но у Вас будет уверенность что платформа при неблагоприятных условиях вернется на точку взлета, а не улетит к месту Вашего крайнего полета.
Hello colleagues, If you google "Aurora 9 reverse polarity F150" or similar, you will find some topics about "reverse polarity problem" for some Hitec's radios. Reverse polarity problem is caused usually by "quick hands" (custom lipol battery etc.) and voltage regulator in SOT23-5 with marking F150 usually burns out. Link1 Link2 Link3 It is highly suggested to use a local service provider for Hitec's eqipment, but when you are handy and you don't want to wait for repair in the middle of season, we verified, that you can easily replace the LDO regulator in SOT23-5 package with marking F150, by chip called: MIC5205-5.0YM5 because nobody knows, what chip marked F150 is.
Aurora 9, Optic 6 sport reverse polarity dammage fix
I have been charging my Aurora at the field with the battery in the Tx for a few months now ( yes I now know, bad bad, don't do it!! ) and I have now smoked it Since warranty wont cover it I opened it up and looked it over, it looks similar to the reverse polarity damage up top. Not as much soot on the PCB but EC1 is definitely toasted... It was shorted but de-soldering it (will get new one later) does not fix the issue, the Aurora is still dead. Got a hint to look at the DC/DC converter below it (IC3).
