OCCUPY EARTH 2011

MISSION STATEMENT: End Corporate Greed and its influence on Government and Elected Officials that have a direct impact on human welfare, society, and mankind as a whole. These atrocities have been ongoing for decades without positive actions from the Banking sector, Wall Street, and all Government Officials who have regarded their own interest before the fate of man. Greed has enveloped our Nation's Capitol to the point that Lobbyist run the country behind secrete/closed door committees or by funding key members of congress for their own agenda. We have stood by watching how this country has been run into the ground without Congress [OPPOSITE OF PROGRESS] making any positive steps to control or end immediate problems which still haunt us today. http://www.petition2congress.com/5527/occupy-earth-2011
Please Copy and Paste the letter below and send to your Representative or the White House HERE Activist Post Dear "Representative," I strongly oppose Sections 1021 and 1022 in the National Defense Authorization Act (HR 1540). NO HUMAN BEING (let alone an American Citizen) should be stripped of his or her rights based on an ACCUSATION alone. Due process and EVIDENCE are required by our American system of justice. http://www.activistpost.com/2011/12/petition-against-national-defense.html

No Robots on My Phone

If a new bill gets through Congress, marketing robots will invade your cellphone. The bill, called the “Mobile Informational Call Act of 2011” (H.R. 3035), would amend the Communications Act of 1934 to allow marketers and bill collectors to make endless calls to your mobile phone — just like they currently can on your landline, but this time using minutes that you are paying for. Sponsored by corporate interests like the U.S.

Occupy the world | Greenpeace

At the weekend my twitter feed was alive with news of the hundreds of thousands of people around the world, including in my adopted city of Amsterdam, taking a stand in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street movement. It is a movement that has quickly spread far beyond the shadows of Wall Street’s skyscrapers, and the reason is simple - all over the world, citizens are tired of profit being put before people and the planet. Greenpeace is tired of polluting corporations with vested interests dictating policy to governments, without concern for the consequences for those who have to live with them. We are tired of corporations controlling the quality of the air, people’s access to food and the availability of clean, safe energy. As an organisation and as individuals, we share the growing demands for change.

Anonymous - Who Should Be TIME's Person of the Year 2011?

Anonymous has been called many things, mostly in relation to computer hacking — hackers, hacktivists, an international hacking collective — but the so-called group is really more of a way of life than something that's easily definable. Anonymous has changed the way the world thinks about hacking by turning it into a form of social activism. A fixture with the Occupy Wall Street protests, Anonymous has also been linked to nefarious hacks, like the one that took down Sony's PlayStation Network this year. Yet it has reportedly been engaged in vigilante justice as well, including the takedown of a massive child-pornography ring. Despite having no central leadership, Anonymous' reputation has grown thanks to the nature of its anyone-can-join mentality.
No immunity without investigation In America right now, small crimes get punished, but big crimes--committed against the whole country by the 1%--get free passes and bailouts. Federal and state negotiators—including top members of the Obama administration—are days away from striking a bad deal that would let the banks off the hook for illegally foreclosing on millions of homeowners. The only way to stop it is to convince the president that millions of Americans want to see a full, fair investigation before anyone gets immunity.

I am signing this because I think everyone has their own right to what they put up on the internet and should have full control over who views it. The person should have full control over who views the data they put up and what happens to it when the data is taken down. Also, I think, people should have a right to know where there information goes and what happens to it, once it is posted. Therefore, once the account is deleted, hence so should your information, user data and what ever you have associated with that account. Like, once it is deleted no-one would have any intention to actually want to use their account again, so there is no reason for people to still be able to view their information. I believe, once something is posted it should be your responsibility to who you want to share that information with and who can read.
