Archidply Opens 1st Exclusive Laminate Showroom at Kota, Rajasthan. Archidply Industries Limited opened their 1st exclusive laminate showroom on 14th October in Kota with their channel partner M/S Umiya Timbers.
It was a very gala opening attended by practically all major traders of Kota and nearby towns. Many important architects of Kota also visited the showroom and appreciated the display. For the meeting over 23 dealers reached Azure By Spree, Calangute resort, Goa from Ahmedabad. After a little rest and lunch, the dealers enjoyed at Calangute Beach till evening and after dinner again visited the beach and had the wonderful time at Tito’s Night Club where they danced till wee hours. Greenply Organises Seminar on GST For Dealers In Delhi. Greenply Industries has organised a discussion namely ‘GST MEET 2017’on the impending Goods and Services Tax (GST) and its associated impact on the organised plywood sector on May 18, 2017, at Green Lounge Banquet, Mayapuri in New Delhi.
The purpose of the discussion was to clarify any doubts that a dealer may have in the context of the plywood business, and therefore the forum was open to all regardless of one’s association with Greenply. More than dealers 200 from Delhi-NCR regions attended the seminar and get benefited from the discussions. The welcome speech was given by Mr Subir Palit, Country Head, Greenply Industries Ltd. The decorative laminate industries have been going through tough phase due to steep surge in prices of raw materials and dollar combined impact. After base paper, phenol along with Methanol and Melamine impacted the manufacturing across the country. The phenol prices soared beyond 30% within a fortnight that forced the factories to stop plants as pre-booked orders of laminates on old selling prices were far lesser than viability range. The supply shortage and prevailing circumstances compelled majority of units to either reduce the production or stop the plant. On one side phenol scarcity choked the process flow, the other chemical Methanol and Melamine that are vital for HPL manufacturing prices surged by 15 % in the same period.

All stakeholders are “beads of the same string”, and have to be in harmony, working together cohesively, for growth of our industry.
Drawing from myexperience, I ‘feel that there is a dire need for coordinated efforts amongst Various stakeholders to take Plywood industry, to the next level of working. Here, I would like to deliberate upon the most important factors affecting the Plywood industry which is the Challenge in Raw Material Availability and its solution.
