Carne Griffiths. Ramzi Adek, entre Street art et Pop art - sur Strip Art le Blog. Issu du mouvement Graffiti et Street art, Ramzi Adek est un artiste urbain, né en 1976, à Aix en Provence.
Il vit et travaille actuellement entre Paris et Los Angeles. En Février 2014, il réalise une performance à Miami pour les parfums Caron. Il utilise sa technique « days & night » qui offre un nouveau regard sur la fresque une fois la nuit tombée. L’artiste a donné naissance à un univers subversif incarné dans une esthétique colorée et généreuse, à la croisée des chemins entre Street et Pop art.
Son pseudonyme (abréviation d’Adéquat) ainsi que son style se sont forgés sur les murs de Paris pendant plusieurs années durant lesquelles une passion spontanée pour le graff cohabitait avec des activités de DJ et de production musicale. Blek le who? Okay, so I guess you’re going to need a primer in street as well. Admittedly, not a lot of people know who Blek le Rat is and I didn’t either until my friend and fellow street artist Matthew Foreman, aka Came, gave me a book on Blek le Rat a few years ago. I had been talking about how my installations of Native American paintings on plywood attached to abandoned houses in Charleston, SC had been inspired by the work of Banksy, who I thought was so different from every other street artist I’d ever seen. STOCKHOLM – Bombing Alone [TAGSANDTHROWS] Swoon New Street Piece - London, UK. Brooklyn based street artist Swoon is in London and she pasted up one of her intricate large work in the East London area yesterday.
Her work is often portraits of everyday people contrasted by both art and historical elements and this piece is no exception. Last time she visited London back in November 2010 she left 4 pieces pasted up on the streets so hopefully this first installation is just a beginning closely followed by some other work by her.
