Stephens' thread on his wonderfully crafted cocktail table reminded me of the two tables that my father and I made nigh on ten years ago.While they are not made of a fancy hardwood, nor encased in hand sewn canvas bags, they are self enclosed, rugged, and period correct(if you participate in certain reenactment groups).The light colored table is white pine, and a bit heavier than the dark table made of redwood.
