Thursday, 27 January 2011, Brussels, Belgium On 27 January 2011, the Directorate-General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection of the European Commission (Civil Protection Units) held an Information Day in Brussels (Belgium) on "Civil Protection Work Programme 2011". Aim The aim of the Information Day was to provide potential applicants with useful information on the 2011 Work Programme of the Civil Protection Financial Instrument, outline the priorities of the year and provide some useful guidance on the preparation of proposals and tenders. The Instrument deals with civil protection and provides funding opportunities for a number of activities such as cooperation projects on prevention and preparedness, exercises, exercises on modules, exchange of experts, in the framework of the EU Mechanism.
