Créée en 1974 par Hans Beck, cette figurine représente une nouvelle manière de jouer. Avant cette date, les figurines étaient le plus souvent en papier, en plomb, en aluminium ou métal peint, en plastique. Elles étaient surtout figées dans une attitude ou un mouvement, les pieds moulés dans un socle pour leur permettre de tenir debout. Soldats, cow-boys et Indiens, joueurs de foot, de rugby ou cyclistes incarnaient des univers essentiellement guerriers ou sportifs. Les enfants d’alors organisaient leurs armées ou leurs équipes, imaginaient leurs combats ou leurs matchs et restituaient ainsi un moment de l’histoire.

Je vais bien sûr commencer par le traditionnel rappel étymologique sur le travail-souffrance ! On pourra toujours d iscuter sur la signification des étymologies.
