By Jennifer Madison Updated: 09:45 GMT, 8 February 2012 Disney princesses don't always live happily ever after. At least, not in Thomas Czarnecki's twisted world. The French photographer's series, 'From Enchantment to Down', includes alternate endings for The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and other saccharine heroines. But in his re-imagining, the women meet their demise. A twisted ending: 'The Little Mermaid - On the other Shore', from Thomas Czarnecki's photo series, 'From Enchantment to Down' It's past midnight: Cinderella's glass slipper sits at the top of the stairs in 'Cinderella - Too Fast' Was it the big bad wolf?

Thailand Chances are you already know Steve McCurry as the man who took one of the most iconic photos of our time. It was of a 12-year-old Afghan refugee girl who's piercing green eyes told us her harrowing story. The image itself was named "the most recognized photograph" in the history of the National Geographic magazine and her face became famous as the cover photograph on their June 1985 issue.
Beyond just that one photo, McCurry has shot over a million images spanning 35 years. More than anything, he is one of a few that has that amazing ability to capture stories of our shared human experience. Looking through his large body of work, we get to experience fantastic faraway places we can only dream about visiting. Stunning Self-Portraits by a 17-Year-Old (18 photos) Like Valerie Chiang or Kalie Garrett, Alex Stoddard is one of those talented teenage photographers who knows how to express themselves. His self-portraits are all incredibly unique and after viewing them you're left wondering where he's going to take you next. What I enjoy most is that you can almost feel his passion come through.
His commitment to not only executing on an idea but doing it well, is apparent to anyone who sees his photos. I got in touch with Alex to ask him a few questions, including how his style evolved while taking on the 365 project. (That is, to shoot and share one picture each day.) What have you learned from your 365 project? Your photos are all beautifully artistic. I see that you're friends with Rosie Hardy. How has Flickr helped you develop your style? Are there any quotes you live by? Thanks for the interview, Alex. Check out more of Alex's incredible photos on his Flickr page. Beautifully Vulnerable Self-Portraits (16 photos) Kalie Garrett is a 19-year-old photographer who takes such vulnerable self-portraits, you can't help but get emotional when you look at them. Rather than describe them myself, here are some touching testimonials left on her Flickr page: "You probably know by now how much I adore your work.
I mean, your photography is like a drug to me. I can get lost in your stream so easily and just look for hours and hours on end. The kind of emotion you show in your photos is unique and different from any other photos I've seen. " "From the moment i first discovered your work, I was incredibly inspired. You were the one who showed me what emotion is. I look at a photo and listen to the song in the description.. Living a Teenage Dream (15 photos) Though Raleigh, North Carolina-based Valerie Chiang is not a professional photographer (rather, she is a student at Oberlin Conservatory studying piano performance), her photos certainly speak volumes. Like Flickr photographer Lucy Nuzum, Chiang is able bring to life the intangible, capturing our fleeting youth in a sweet and vulnerable way. Just 18-years-old, Chiang tells us she's been taking pictures only for the last year and a half. "When people look at my photos, I want them to feel as though they are momentarily transported into a fantasy world. I try to create 'dreamscapes,' where people can use my photographs as a method of escapism. " "Any day above ground is gonna be a good day.
