Open Wonderland's Games Village Maria Korolov, Hypergrid Business, January 18, 2012 Game developers in Singapore now have a new avenue to try to find publishers — showcasing their games in the Singapore Games Village, part of the Media Development Authority of Singapore’s new Games Solution Center. Now the incubator will also offer a virtual world, based on the Open Wonderland platform, where developers can demonstrate their games to potential distributors.

Second Life is an online virtual world developed by Linden Lab . It was launched on June 23, 2003. A number of free client programs , or Viewers, [ 1 ] [ 2 ] enable Second Life users, called Residents , to interact with each other through avatars .Virtual worlds are the golden path to achieving Artificial General Intelligence and positive Singularity, Dr Ben Goertzel’s, CEO of Novamente LLC and author of “ The Hidden Pattern: A Patternist Philosophy of Mind” explained in his presentation “Artificial General Intelligence in Virtual Worlds” given at the Singularity Summit 2007 earlier this month. According to Goertzel, Singularity is no longer a far future idea. About a year ago Goertzel gave a talk “Ten Years to a Positive Singularity — If We Really, Really Try.”
