Name: Noteleaf Quick Pitch: Noteleaf helps you remember the people you meet. Easily take notes about people and keep in touch using follow-up reminders. Genius Idea: When Noteleaf's creators first moved to the Bay Area several months ago, they were delighted to meet so many interesting new people they wanted to keep in touch with — but they didn't have a convenient way of remembering who they were and how best to follow up. Currently Noteleaf exists as a web app and bookmarklet. The service launched in Beta just this week, and still needs several key features to be truly serviceable.

Now that you’ve set up your Facebook fan page, you’re thinking, "wouldn’t it be great if I could get my fans to signup for my email newsletter? " Now you can! We found this tutorial from the Return on Subscriber blog extremely helpful in getting us started. To begin, you need to make sure that you have two things: 1. a Facebook fan page, and 2. the HTML code from MailChimp that allows you to embed your sign-up form on a web page. Step 1. Grab your MailChimp list’s embed code In your MailChimp Dashboard, click on the Lists tab.

Then you’ll select "integration code" from the top menu, which will present you with a link to the Signup Form Embed Code. Step 2. FBML stands for Facebook Markup Language. Step 3. Navigate back over to your fan page and select "edit page" from right below your profile picture. Scroll down to find FBML in your list of applications, and click on the little pencil icon to edit it. In “Box Title” you can give the tab a name like “Email Signup” or “Newsletter”. Step 4. Facebook "Like" Buttons Coming to E-mail Marketing. E-mail marketing service MailChimp is preparing to release a new version of its application that includes support for integrating Facebook "Like" buttons in e-mail campaigns.

MailChimp v5.2 will be released early next week and include support for the social plugin. Essentially marketers will soon have a simple way to plop Facebook "Like" buttons inside their e-mail messages. The e-mail "Like" buttons will look and function in exactly the same way that they do on the web. So, when a subscriber clicks the "Like" button in an e-mail, the campaign is then posted to their Facebook profile.

Those "Like" behaviors are tracked by MailChimp and made accessible in the campaign social stats section. While somewhat controversial, "Like" buttons have proved to be incredibly popular, especially for content creators and online publishers. Facebook's Like Button: are you ready?
