Geometric Reflections in Landscapes Create Abstract Realities. Victoria Siemer, aka Witchoria, is a Brooklyn-based graphic designer who produces new and unusual realities by altering expected perceptions of space. She blends geometric shapes into natural landscapes to produce the sensation of upside-down, backwards, and fragmented reflections. Witchoria aligns pieces of mountains, trees, rivers, and oceans into symmetrical arrangements to form multiple layers within the single location. Through her manipulations, she blurs the line between reality and fiction and makes it difficult to fully distinguish the separate elements of each photograph. The artist uses gray and moody scenes filled with overcast skies and monotone color palettes to elicit an emotional response from her viewers.

The unpredictability of abstract elements blended into typical landscapes is a reminder that, no matter how much we try to manipulate our environment, we really have very little control over nature and the world around us. Pre-compiled versions Windows: 64-bit binaries: Official 2015.0.0. HDRI Handbook. The HDRI Handbook 2.0 is the most comprehensive guide to high dynamic range imaging (HDRI). HDR imaging takes photography to a whole new level. It opens the door to unprecedented creative freedom in digital post-processing by capturing everything from the darkest shadows to the brightest highlights. It represents a quantum leap in imaging technology, as revolutionary as the leap from black-and-white to color imaging. HDRI means truly lossless image editing, full exposure control, mastering any scene contrast without artificial lighting, and preserving all light from a scene so it can be digitally revisited anytime in the future. Combined with panoramic photography, this captured light can even be used to render 3D objects with a deceivingly realistic appearance.

In 2007, The HDRI Handbook was the first book to present this revolutionary new field to a larger audience. Now The HDRI Handbook 2.0 redefines its own gold standard. VR | Home - (Fenster-Sitzung: Tools-2014-03-11) Line scan cameras | STEMMER IMAGING. Introduction In scenarios where moving, continuous material needs to be inspected for faults, line-scan cameras will generally provide a better solution than traditional area scan cameras.

Despite this fact, people regularly harbour reservations about deploying line-scan cameras; reservations that generally arise from insufficient experience with this method of inspection. This often leads to a situation where image processing users often continue to deploy familiar area scan technology even when it would make more sense to use line-scan cameras for a given application. But the fact is that line-scan cameras offer an inexpensive method of generating high-resolution images and making them available to the software for evaluation on standard PC platforms whose performance is increasing all the time. How line-scan cameras work The traditional fields of application for line-scan cameras include situations where continuous materials need to be analysed (see figure 1).

Review: Steve'S Conclusion. Olympus has given new meaning and functionality to the compact digicam. With the introduction of the Stylus 1 camera, they have provided the control of a dSLR in a compact body that you will have no problems taking with you any time. The constant f/2.8 aperture lens and 12-Megapixel BSI CMOS imaging sensor provide incredibly high image quality in all lighting conditions.

Versatility is also covered with the lens with a 35mm equivalent zoom range of 28mm-300mm (10.7x), that surpasses just about every other low-light lens on the market. This range would take multiple, very expensive lenses to match on a dSLR. Built to be one of the best performing compacts available in low light situations, the Stylus 1 has to contribute its success to its sensor, lens and I.S. system. One of the most common and popular features to found on a digicams these days is a built-in WiFi system, and the Stylus 1 is no different.

The Stylus 1 provides fantastic performance to match its great feature set. Royalty Free Stock Video, Music, Photos, Illustrations, Sound Effects, After Effects and 3D Models | Pond5.com. Cinetics Axis360 review. CInetics Axis360From $395 (Kickstarter pledge) | www.cinetics.com Panning, tilting and sliding are essential actions in both photography and video. They enable us to shoot panoramic images, record time-lapse compilations and provide fluid movement to video productions. To elevate the quality of camera movement, professional-grade equipment is needed, and it's usually very expensive. The folks at Cinetics aim to bridge the gap with the introduction of the Axis360, a compact, motorized tripod head and slider for dynamic video and time-lapse photography. Like the two prior successes in the Cinetics family, the Axis360 has landed on Kickstarter to seek funding for production.

I got a chance to use the Axis360 before its launch, so if you're in the market for an affordable motion control system that rotates and slides your camera, stick around.
