We’ve definitely had our share, dealing with very delayed flights and freezing temperatures (NYC the other week anyone?) Even back home in sunny Florida, there are plenty of chilly days when I crave rich and warming drinks, especially hot chocolate. I like to prepare it with nourishing ingredients, and this time I wanted to experiment with making it white. I liked the results so much that I decided to make a cold milkshake version. When we walked to our table we passed their dessert case there were a million desserts in their looking pretty begging me to eat them. We ate one, their seasonal dessert of Pumpkin Crème Brulee. Their Crème Brulee was made in little hollowed out mini pumpkins, and prepared so you could eat some pumpkin chunks while you eat your delicious custard. I was sold. I knew them we HAD to attempt to re make this for the blog. No Bake Pumpkin Crème Brulee Makes 8 Ingredients:8 baby pumpkins, tops removed and completely hollowed out3 tablespoons light brown sugar1 1/2 tablespoons superfine sugar2 tablespoons all purpose flour1/4 teaspoon salt1 cup heavy cream5 egg yolks1 cup whole milk2/3 cup pumpkin puree1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/4 teaspoon ground allspicepinch ground cloves1 teaspoon vanilla extract 8 tablespoons turbinado (raw) sugar.
