Best 101 Entrepreneurship Quotes Ever · 14 Clicks

I could read them all day long. Some quotes can shift your entire mindset on something while others are just nice to bring up in conversations. I’ve spent the last two years (off and on) compiling 101 of my favorite entrepreneurship quotes around success, failure, leadership, wisdom, humor, money, practicality, motivation, and a smattering of entrepreneurial proverbs. Success Quotes Failure Quotes “Failure defeats losers, failure inspires winners.” Leadership Quotes “Leaders don’t force people to follow, they invite them on a journey.” Wisdom Quotes “The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.” Humorous Quotes “I think it’s wrong that only one company makes the game Monopoly.”

Mallick: Why Canadian kids can’t read

I am teaching Introductory Journalism. I have asked him to write a brief review of something — a novel or film, perhaps — he can describe, compare and plausibly rate. He has never read a book. No, nothing beyond assigned reading, which I suspect he has not done either. He has never seen a documentary. The long, painful span between this student, who won’t read, and a man named Francis Spufford, the cleverest man in England — “please stop calling me that,” he says — who can’t not read, is worth studying. Spufford, whom I interviewed over a three-hour lunch in London, wrote a book called The Child That Books Built, about his fraught childhood whose pains he escaped by reading. I seek an explanation of the phenomenon that the novelist Jonathan Franzen calls “social isolates.” How does a smart but untutored child become an autodidact, a self-teacher? Text of Steve Jobs' Commencement address (2005)

I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. The first story is about connecting the dots. I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. It started before I was born. And 17 years later I did go to college. It wasn't all romantic. Reed College at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country.

None of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. My second story is about love and loss. A Lesson on Forgiveness. The Buddha was sitting under a tree talking to his disciples when a man came and spit on his face.

A Lesson on Forgiveness

He wiped it off, and he asked the man, “What next? What do you want to say next?” The man was a little puzzled because he himself never expected that when you spit on somebody’s face, he will ask, “What next?” He had no such experience in his past. He had insulted people and they had become angry and they had reacted. Buddha’s disciples became angry, they reacted. Many Quotes by Alan Watts. Click The Pic For More Misc Pix! I'm on day 14 of a 21-day challenge that I semi-invented and so far I have to admit the results have been nothing short of amazing.

The 21 Day Challenge Everyone Should Take

Now, when I say that I semi-invented it, that is purely because I took the idea from the excellent book 'Psycho Cybernetics' and put it in a format that everyone can follow, myself included. I'm not exaggerating when I say this challenge can literally help with any aspect of your life that you would like to improve. Before I go into more detail on how you can follow along, I need to talk a little about our 'self image' and why it is very important. Understanding the Self Image In the mid 20th Century, Maxwell Maltz who was a plastic surgeon, wrote a book called Psycho Cybernetics that has now sold millions of copies and been updated for modern times. In looking into this further, he states that we all have a self-image that is purely a mental image of how we see ourselves.
