Podcasts – Shift your paradigm

Ken Danford is Executive Director at North Star.He grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio and attended public schools. His positive experiences as a student led him to become an idealistic public school teacher, first in Prince George’s County, MD, and then in Amherst, MA. Having earned his teaching degree at Brown University under the auspices of the Coalition of Essential Schools, he planned a career in education reform from inside public schools. He became disillusioned with what he felt was too tight of a system, and decided to leave teaching school in a way that would support any interested students to leave with him. Nolan Saito, 15 years old, is a member of North Star. The learners at North Star are individuals moving forward in unique directions at a pace right for them.

21 Of The Best Educational Podcasts To Listen To Every Week

If you’re ready to binge listen, we found 23 of the best educational podcasts to listen to every week. All Pods All the Time I loved podcasts before they were a thing. I was one of those kids who spent a lot of time holed up alone in my bedroom and listened to the radio for company. But not the crazy morning zoo or Casey Kasem’s weekly Top 40. I listened to AM talk radio, 700 WLW out of Cincinnati and All Things Considered on the local NPR station out of Miami University. This continued when I went to college. When I moved to New York City and needed something to keep my company walking back and forth to work, I bought a Sony Disc Man (damn, I’m old!) Not long after that iPods and podcasts were invented and I was an early adopter. And now, nearly 20 years later, there is a podcast on nearly every topic imaginable. If you want the same thing, you’ll love these educational podcasts. Lore. Create a Podcast >> Start Podcasting.
