How To Make A Teddy Bear From Old Jeans. All those animal toys from the store seem to be complex, with entire factories behind the manufacturing process. Truth is you could achieve the same (or even a better) result with some guidance from the DIY community. Making a teddy bear from old jeans will not take much of your spare time and won’t cost you a lot, because you can recycle some fabric or denim you have just lying around your home.Kids will definitely love the result and you will become a real hero when the discovery of who’s really behind the manufacturing process will be made.

Opting for a DIY solution like this one will also give you the freedom to decorate the toy in every way you like, adding buttons, ribbons or any other embellishment to the teddy bear. Follow the sewing instructions, do the proper stuffing and the toy will look like it came off the store shelves! Source: www.61diy.com. War : ended. | The Tiny Tailoress. I am very happy to show you today my new Pauline Alice’s Carme blouse. Happy and relieved, because boy, it has been HELL. I felt at war with this garment. I had to fight the pattern, that was way to big for my petite figure (remember my first attempt?)

, then I had to fight my fabric, which was thin, and also very loosely woven. It streched like crazy on the bias, was too flimsy to handle properly, and the pins would not even stay in place. There was another enemy on this project, and I have to admit it was myself. I made mistakes over mistakes, and I can say for sure that it’s the garment that had to go through the most unpicking EVER on my sewing table. Anyway, it is done now, and I am very (surprisingly) happy with how good it looks in the end.

After mentioning that I was in the market for an apron that would be long enough to accommodate impromptu garden harvests, I was introduced to the concept of a gathering apron. Obviously, I immediately loved it!

A gathering harvest apron is perfect and was better than what I was looking for! But if I’m to bother with wearing an apron, it must have a bib. I’m not the tallest of ladies and if an apron is to protect my clothes, it needs to have a bib since that area is more prone to splashes for me than below the waist would be. The skirt is long for plenty of room in the gathering pocket and lined with muslin for strength.

Combine the functionality of this apron with the compliments I’ve been getting around here on the beauty of it, and I may finally have enough reason to commit to consistently wearing aprons! You’ll want to begin by figuring out your measurements for your bib and your skirt. My Measurements: Bib– 12″ x 40″ 1. 2. Men’s Flat Cap / Gatsby Hat: Pattern DIY Tutorial.
