For the past two weeks, we’ve been discussing author-level Insights; finding out more about the people creating posts. This week, we change things up by focusing on a post-level Insight partner; finding out more about the actual content of posts. One of the very cool features of Insights is discovery around your brand/product(s) you had no idea about. OpenCalais helps you do this by associating your brand/products to various instances of people, places, and things. What if you were tracking a recent campaign, and wanted to find out more about related topics of conversation around your brand?

We found his basic definition of influence hit home: “Someone is influencial if they can drive people to action across multiple platforms”. Today we’ll dive a little deeper into the insights that Klout can bring to your reporting and analysis in the Radian6 platform. Who is influencing your Twitter data? Klout attempts to answer this question by providing insights such as “Influence By” and “Influencer Of” around your Topic Profile.

You can also determine the “Topics” that your influencers influence the most which is great for analyzing leading trends around your brand.
