On Monday this week, all of my classes used Google Sites to set up their e-portfolios. This was a move that I had been researching for some time, and there were several reasons I decided to go with Google Sites: embedding audio files was easier than some other options I had looked at Google Sites offers a "file cabinet" style of page which allows students to store files on their sites if my students used "announcements" style pages, it allows me to subscribe to the RSS feed from each of their pages instead of having to send updates by email. announcements style pages also allow for comments on each post, and make it easy for students to leave each other feedback.
